Life, it goes on...

We haven't been up to too much. We went to an Infertility Seminar last week. It was really good, and we learned a lot. Our little Angel had to get spayed yesterday. It was hard as her mommy. I just sobbed and sobbed after left. It was a rough day. But she is doing fine. Sleeping a lot. But I sure do love that cat. :)

Other then that, just enjoying life, praying for warm weather, and getting ready to plant our very first veggie garden. We can't wait!!! :)

Being "Defriended"

I was recently defriended by someone on Facebook. While in some regards I don't care...this person bothered me a lot, and I'm sure I bothered them. We just are the type of people who just really don't get along. I was totally shocked, by something that was a random comment about the earthquake that hit Utah, and they totally had a freak out over it.
While I know its not worth my trouble to worry about it, it makes me feel like I'm not being a good ambassador for my Savior. I try to love everyone, and treat them with dignity and kindness. But I'm not a pushover. I have learned sometimes you have to stand your ground, but still maintain respect for the other person. But I really just wish I would always act the way I know I should. The way that He would be proud of me. I try, but sometimes in my weakness as a learning human being, I make mistakes...okay a lot of times!
I am sure I will let it go, but it always makes me sad to see someone act that way. Especially because I know what it feels like to hold a grudge against someone. The person that you are holding the grudge against never suffers. YOU do. And I know that from personal experience. I wish I could work out our differences, but when the other person slams the door in your face, all you can do is wait until they open it again. It really just makes me grateful for my ability to forgive easy...I have many other flaws, but that was one of the things that Nate said from our early dating days. So I'm not afraid to "boast" about it, but I just don't like holding grudges, or harboring hate for someone...its just not me.
So, warm weather is here!!!!! Yay! I have started walking for exercise and I'm loving it. We are thinking about going up hiking next Saturday, hopefully the weather holds. I miss our Saturday hikes!! Also time to start thinking about our camping trips, which I am SO excited for! Summer is just awesome!!!

The Truth...

I was thinking tonight after watching a little bit of The Mormon's "documentary" on Frontline (PBS), how sad it is that because people can't understand our religion, they close their minds and heart to the truth. Mind you, this show wasn't very fair in my opinion. They were very harsh, made unfounded accusations, and when they would show a negative opinion it was never followed by a positive opinion. They didn't allow anyone to share their belief's about the religion and that is sad.
I would challenge these people to read the Book of Mormon. For one month, live like the gospel was true, and decide for yourself. For me, when I am following God's commandments, and what I know to be true, there is a distinct and obvious change in my life. I'm more optimistic. I feel more confident, and happy, even though right now I feel like I'm laden down with trials. But they truly do become light. That is when I know because of my actions I am having help carrying the burdens and trials that are on my shoulders. I find life in greater abundance, meaning I find joy. I find contentment. My marriage is more happy and fulfilling. I'm less likely to find fault with those around me, especially my husband.
If such wonderful things come from this religion, how can it be bad? It doesn't mean that the members are perfect. But, the gospel absoleutly is. God has restored the true gospel to the Earth. There is no doubt in my mind it is true. He has promised us so many great blessings if we are faithful to Him and endure to the end. The biggest one of those being that our families can be together forever. That we can be married for all Eternity.
I know Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son when he asked God which church he should join. I know they are 2 seperate beings. Jesus Christ, my brother, has become a personal influence in my life. I know He suffered in Gethsamane to make it possible for me to return to my Heavenly Father one day. My life is totally and completely different with this knowledge.
"And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost."
"And by the power of the Holy Ghost, ye may know the truth of all things." (Moroni 10:4-5)
